Grace Jee Eun Oh
Oslo and London based concert pianist, chamber musician, and piano teacher
Biography
Born in South Korea, Grace Jee Eun Oh developed her musical path in the United Kingdom, first as part of the Wells Cathedral School (studying with Hilary Coates-Elton), then moving on to Bachelor studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London, completing her Master Degree at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2017.
Since 2018, she is based in Scandinavia, after polishing her studies at the prestigious Norwegian Academy of Music, working with Håvard Gimse and Marianna Shirinyan. Furthermore, she took the opportunity to obtain a Master degree in Music Theory to broaden her musical horizon during the pandemic.Grace is a recipient of the 2015 Charity of Mary Barnes and Leverhulme Trust Scholarships and was invited to perform in prestigious venues such as London’s St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Milton Court and Barbican Centre and in festivals such as Bloomsbury Festival, Cheltenham Festival, Oslo Kammermusikkfestivalen, a. o.
Promoting her roots, Grace was the first ever Korean pianist to be invited to perform at the 41st Presentation Ceremony of H. R. H. Princess Benedikte of Denmark. In 2023, she was awarded of the EEA grants, in which her project aimed to showcase hidden gems of Norwegian music across Eastern Europe.An avid promoter of living composers, Grace was actively involved in the Total Immersion: Louis Andriessen project developed by Guildhall in 2016, and her first release – Vandraren, at Grappa / Simax (2018) featured works by Norwegian Knut Buen. Grace’s artistic research titled “Borderless Ends of the East and the West” became published in 2022. Her appearances as a soloist as well as a chamber musician spreads across UK, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Romania, Switzerland, Canada, USA and South Korea.

Grace as a teacher
Grace has been teaching for more than a decade, and has guided numerous students to great success, including scholarship awards, admission to prestigious music conservatoires, and exam results with distinction.
Whether working with young beginners, dedicated amateurs, or aspiring professionals, Grace creates a supportive space where each student can grow at their own pace and discover their own musical voice.
